Tampa City Hall through the lens of the Burgert Brothers
The City of Tampa is celebrating the centennial of Old City Hall in downtown Tampa. In honor of this occasion during Archive Awareness Week July 12-18, the Florida History and Genealogy Library will present a Burgert Brothers photographic journey of the Old City Hall as it weathered the progression of time through the late 19th to the early 20th century.

Gallery @ 2902: The Art Of Marium Rana
Marium Rana, artist and arts educator residing in Tampa, is a recent graduate from Florida State University where she received her BFA in Studio Art and a Masters in Art Education. Marium traveled to Lahore, Pakistan to study the traditional art of miniature painting and has created 21 miniatures, the Qalam Series, as result of this experience. These paintings and her most recent landscapes depict a longing for a place that does not quite exist, a fantasy between the past and present. They will be on display through August 31.

Kotler Art Gallery- Faces of Hunger

In a partnership with the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, the gallery will feature portraits from philanthropist Howard G. Buffett’s "Faces of Hunger" collection. The powerful photographs were taken by Buffett as he traveled the world seeking ways to combat global poverty and hunger. The exhibit is the visual story of Buffett’s 40 Chances campaign.

Gallery on the Boulevard: Erica Hall
Erica Hall's detailed portraits are created with soft watercolors and charcoals on wood panels, incorporating the wood grain into the designs. Each portrait is meant to convey a feeling of reverie, inviting the viewer to remember their happy childhood moments.

Erica resides in the Tampa Bay area. She currently works on new show images as well as commissioned portraits. She has won many juried awards across the state, including the Robert and Elizabeth Sanchez Emerging Artist award at the Gasparilla Festival of Arts.

Erica will have a reception at the North Tampa Branch Library on August 4 at 6:30 p.m.
