The Art Of Being Floridian 1/2/2015 12:00:00 AM
The Art Of Being Floridian
The Art of Being Floridian features a flock of 24 artistically painted pink plastic yard flamingos. The flamboyant flock serves as a unique reminder to homeowners to "skip the fertilizer" in the summer in order to protect Florida's waterways. The flamingos were painted by local artists from New Port Richey to Avon Park. Each has been given its own name to reflect its colorful personality.

The display can be seen at the New Tampa Regional Library from January 2 -29, 2015 during normal library operating hours.

Presented in partnership with the Tampa Bay Estuary Program.
