Jackson, Ph.D., author of "Speaking For The Enslaved - Heritage Interpretation At Antebellum Plantation Sites" and Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of South Florida, as she shares her critical analysis on the agency of enslaved Africans and their descendants in the South. Dr. Jackson will discuss the ways culture, history, social policy, and identity influence heritage sites and the business of heritage research management in public spaces.
